Nelda Mae Loyd of Pflugerville, Texas, peacefully went home to be with the Lord September 10, 2017 at the young age of 88. Nelda was born in Bedias, TX and spent her adult life in the Austin area. She was a long time employee of the original Hill's Café in South Austin and later in life worked as a secretary for several different companies. Nelda Mae Loyd of Pflugerville, Texas, peacefully went home to be with the Lord September 10, 2017 at the young age of 88. Nelda was born in Bedias, TX and spent her adult life in the Austin area. She was a long time employee of the original Hill's Café in South Austin and later in life worked as a secretary for several different companies. Nelda was a charter member of the First United Methodist Church in Pflugerville, TX, where she served on numerous committees. Nelda was also proud of herself for completing her Walk to Emmaus in her 70's. She was the Matriarch of her large loving family and her love for her family was unwavering, they were her pride and joy. Some of her favorite times were when she was surrounded by those she loved; singing, laughing and making memories. She knew and loved the Lord from a young age and made sure her family would also come to know and love the Lord as well. She was proud to be a Preachers Kid or PK as she lovingly referred to herself. Nelda Mae was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, friend and neighbor.

Nelda was preceded in death by her loving parents John Leslie Epperson and Hallie Mae Epperson; siblings Ernest Epperson, Iola Tadlock, Elizabeth Jones, Alvin Epperson, Horace Epperson, and Johnny Epperson; as well as her grandson Benjamin Jones.

Nelda's legacy will live on, as she is survived by her husband Dale Loyd, daughter Libby and Ken Werchan of Hutto, TX, son Lemuel and Patti Williams of Round Rock, TX and daughter Neva and Tim Page of Burnet, TX. Grandchildren: Deanna McCollum, David Jones, Renda Jones-Napolitano, Lysa Dodd, Doug Williams, Rachel Williams, Sarah Morris, Aaron Hollebeke, Ashlie Manhart, Leah Seymour and Morgen Toussaint. Great Grandchildren: Austin, Lincoln, Laura, Noah, Delta, Dakota, Chase, Courtney, Scout, Maya, Hannah, Stefanie, Addison, Devyn, Hallie, Haygen and Asia. Great Great Grandchildren: Presley, Haiden, Jaxon, Calvin and Miles. Nelda also left behind many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday September 14, 2017 from 6-8pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas. Services will be held Friday September 15, 2017 at 11am in the Chapel at Hoovers Valley Cemetery, burial will follow.
