Martha Jo Foulds passed away May 17, 2017. She was born March 16, 1925 in Burnet to Mat Kinkead Foulds and Earl N. Foulds. She was a 5th generation in a family that settled in the Burnet area, and her great grandfather received a land grant from the State of Texas.

Jo graduated from Burnet High School in 1942 and attended the University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduating from UT, she joined the tax department at the Texas Employment Commission and retired from TEC after 41 years. She moved back to Burnet...

Martha Jo Foulds passed away May 17, 2017. She was born March 16, 1925 in Burnet to Mat Kinkead Foulds and Earl N. Foulds. She was a 5th generation in a family that settled in the Burnet area, and her great grandfather received a land grant from the State of Texas.

Jo graduated from Burnet High School in 1942 and attended the University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduating from UT, she joined the tax department at the Texas Employment Commission and retired from TEC after 41 years. She moved back to Burnet in 1989.
She was a faithful member of the Burnet Methodist Church and taught a Sunday School class for 21 years. Jo served on the Burnet County Historical Commission, and was a member of the Burnet County Heritage Society and was also on the Board of Directors at the LaCare Food Bank for 16 years.

Her brother Bill passed away in 2011. Jo is survived by her always loving and caring family, Betty Foulds, and Bettye and Bill's children: Kathy Crowell (Karl) son Clay, Debby Collins and sons Darrell (Brittany), David (Cynthia, Isaiah, Ilissa, and Ivan) and son Jayden, Bill Foulds, Jr (Rhonda) and sons Billy Scott (Tracy)and children Peyton and Savannah, Bryan Foulds (Beth), Martha Smith (Howard) and daughter Melissa.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund or Prayer Garden Fund.
Services will be held Saturday May 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Burnet. Interment will follow at Burnet City Cemetery.
